OLD AGE HOME ACTIVITIES

Old age homes are places of care and compassion. They are a place that shares smiles and emotions, a place for fun & frolic, and a place of learning.
Spending only a few hours with aged peoples , make us realize the value of our grandparents and the tenderness with which we need to take care of them.

Many older adults lose mobility due to conditions like stroke, severe arthritis, or injuries from falls. When that happens, activities and hobbies they used to enjoy might now be too difficult.

But loss of mobility doesn’t mean the end of good times. There are many ways to have fun, boost mood, and stay engaged in the world without needing to move around too much.

We organize various activities for them to make them feel active :-

1. Irrespective of the age, it is important to stay as much active as possible. When elderly people do yoga together, they feel encouraged and energized to put their best feet forward. This helps in releasing anti-stress hormones and finally, the mind tricks along with that as well. We try our best to help them engage in such activities.

2.Both music and meditation work as food for the soul, especially in old age. While the body responds to exercise, the heart responds to the sound of music. Meditation calms people and brings serenity. It helps to collect one’s thoughts, unlocks the mind, and brings a sense of peace.

3.Reading is an excellent hobby for elderly people. This is a great way to spend time. We provide them reading stuffs, which are helpful for them to spend some good quality time.

4. We distribute food , clothes and blankets to them from time to time

5. We organize games , puzzles and other recreational activities from time to time.
