COVID-19 RELIEF CAMPS

Due to Covid-19, all of us were experiencing emotions, thoughts and situations we have never experienced before. It is not that there were no pandemics earlier. Pandemics, particularly plague outbreaks have been known since times immemorial.COVID-19 has affected us on a completely different scale.

It has shaken the entire world and created global panic. As COVID-19 initially creeps in and subsequently spreads at a galloping pace, it has been ravaging country after country. The pandemic has significantly impacted and affected everyone , depending on the stage of the pandemic.

The COVID-19 crisis has laid bare pre-existing gaps in social protection provisions. This crisis has created the need of spreading awareness on a larger scale so that each and every individual can know about the adverse effects of this pandemic and maintain themselves to remain safe from it.

BENISON HELPING DURING COVID-19

All the members of Benison Helping were engaged in spreading awareness during the time of Covid-19. The lockdown has already disproportionately hurt communities due to loss of livelihood and lack of food, shelter, health, and other basic needs. As many people lost the access to basic necessities such as food , due to shutting of shops, hotels and restaurants , we started food distribution campaigns keeping in mind the precautionary measures of the pandemic.

Public awareness campaigns launched by Benison Helping has helped people gain knowledge about the importance of hygiene, masks, social distancing etc.

We helped the communities with providing masks and awareness messages about COVID-19 virus. We also started the mask and sanitizer distribution campaign along with food distribution so that no one is left without the access to all basic hygiene necessities such as mask, sanitizer etc. along with food and shelter.

Awareness campaigns have helped dispel misinformation about the coronavirus while promoting precautionary measures like frequent hand washing and wearing masks.

We have arranged awareness sessions that have turned people to producing masks for their communities to help prevent COVID-19 outbreaks. We deployed leading development programs to promote health recommendations to fight COVID-19 in thousands of rural and urban communities.

People are encouraged to wash hands frequently, use antiseptics to clean household items, wear masks in public places, avoid meeting people with colds and coughs, observe physical distance, avoid crowded places, and stay home as much as possible.

We have communicated to people to refrain from shaking hands, kissing, and hugging for the safety of their loved ones, family members, and the broader community, as these measures will help us defeat this global pandemic.
